This in-person training is intended for programs that have been using the Mississippi Beginning Pre-K curriculum for at least one year. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the fidelity tool and how to utilize it to ensure consistency and alignment across all curricula used in pre-kindergarten instruction. The fidelity tool enables administrators or program representatives to monitor and uphold early childhood best practices in pre-kindergarten classrooms. This session will be Part 2 of a series focused on the fidelity tool, which covers topics such as Let's Find Out About It, Storytelling and Story Acting, Building Blocks, and SWPL.

The MDE, through the Office of Early Childhood, is offering a free full-day professional learning opportunity entitled Introduction to CLASS. This full-day training will consist of an overview of the CLASS assessment tool, learning about the dimensions of CLASS, and best practices for favorable assessment outcomes. This session is available to all early childhood administrators, principals, district leaders, directors, and teachers of Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms. SEMIs and contact hours will be offered at no cost and CEUs will be available for purchase.
